Under section 9 of the said Act, the Ministry of Transportation of Ontario has deposited with the Minister of Fisheries and Oceans, and in the office of the District Registrar of the Land Registry Division of Huron (No. 22), at Goderich, Ontario, under deposit number 342293, a description of the site and plans of the proposed bridge rehabilitation of the existing Nine Mile River (Lucknow River) bridge, which is approximately 13 km north of Goderich, in the Geographical Township of Ashfield (Township of Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh), crossing Highway 21, at Lot 21, Concession 3, in the County of Huron.

Full closure of the navigational channel along the Nine Mile River may occur for a maximum three-week period. To provide navigational mitigation, upstream signage will be provided advising of construction ahead or of the closure of the waterway. If the waterway is closed, a portage route will be provided.
