ASSUMPTION REINSURANCE AGREEMENT
Notice is hereby given, pursuant to section 587.1 of the Insurance Companies Act (Canada) that ACA Assurance, a foreign fraternal benefit society, intends to make an application to the Minister of Finance (Canada) on or after October 17, 2005, for the Minister's approval for ACA Assurance to reinsure with The Union Life, a mutual assurance company, all or substantially all of ACA Assurance's participating life insurance policies issued in Canada prior to October 1, 1996.
A copy of the assumption reinsurance agreement and of the report of the independent actuary thereon will be available for inspection by policyholders of ACA Assurance at 3050 Saint-Jean Boulevard, Trois-Rivières, Quebec, and by policyholders of The Union Life, a mutual assurance company, at 142 Hériot Street, Drummondville, Quebec, during regular business hours for a period of 30 days following publication of this notice.

VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION AND DISSOLUTION AND TRANSFER OF ASSETS
Notice is hereby given in connection with the proposed voluntary liquidation and dissolution of Amicus Bank ("Amicus") that (1) on August 2, 2005, the Minister of Finance approved the application of Amicus, pursuant to section 344 of the Bank Act, S.C. 1991, c. 46, as amended (the "Act"), for letters patent dissolving Amicus; and (2) Amicus intends to make application to the Minister of Finance under subsection 236(1) of the Act for the approval of an agreement between Amicus and its sole shareholder, Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce ("CIBC"), under which Amicus will distribute to CIBC all of Amicus's assets, and CIBC will agree to pay and discharge all obligations of Amicus to the extent of the amount received by CIBC on the transfer, on or about September 30, 2005.
