Rules Amending the Rules of the Court of Appeal of Alberta as to Criminal Appeals

The Court of Appeal of Alberta, pursuant to section 482 (see footnote a)  of the Criminal Code, with the concurrence of all judges of that Court present at a meeting held for the purpose at Calgary, Alberta, on February 20, 2003, made the annexed Rules Amending the Rules of the Court of Appeal of Alberta as to Criminal Appeals.

RULES AMENDING THE RULES OF THE COURT OF APPEAL OF ALBERTA AS TO CRIMINAL APPEALS

AMENDMENTS

1. The title of the Rules of the Court of Appeal of Alberta as to Criminal Appeals (see footnote 1)  is replaced by the following:

RULES OF THE COURT OF APPEAL OF ALBERTA AS TO CRIMINAL APPEALS

2. (1) Subrule 839(2) of the Rules is replaced by the following:

(2) "Appellate judge" means a judge of the Court of Appeal of Alberta, and includes an ex officio judge of that Court.

(2) Subrule 839(5) of the Rules is replaced by the following:

(5) "Court" means the Court of Appeal of Alberta.
