AN ACT TO AMEND THE CANADIAN FORCES SUPERANNUATION ACT AND TO MAKE CONSEQUENTIAL AMENDMENTS TO OTHER ACTS

Order Fixing May 3, 2004 as the Date of the Coming into Force of Certain Sections of the Act

Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Solicitor General of Canada, pursuant to section 71 of An Act to amend the Canadian Forces Superannuation Act and to make consequential amendments to other Acts, assented to on November 7, 2003, being chapter 26 of the Statutes of Canada, 2003, hereby fixes May 3, 2004 as the day on which sections 45, 56 and 58 to 61, subsection 62(2) and sections 63, 64 and 69 of that Act come into force.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order.)

The Order brings into force certain provisions of An Act to amend the Canadian Forces Superannuation Act and to make consequential amendments to other Acts on May 3, 2004. Those provisions amend certain provisions of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Superannuation Act with respect to lock-in requirements and on-going housekeeping changes.
