Withdrawal of Four By-election Writs
Notice is hereby given, pursuant to section 551 of the Canada Elections Act (S.C. 2000, c. 9), that the writs issued on July 25, 2008, for federal by-elections to be held in the following electoral districts on September 8, 2008, are deemed to have been superseded and withdrawn under subsection 31(3) of the Parliament of Canada Act, therefore cancelling the said by-elections:
Saint-Lambert
Westmount—Ville-Marie
Guelph
Notice is also given, pursuant to section 551 of the Canada Elections Act (S.C. 2000, c. 9), that the writ issued on August 17, 2008, for a federal by-election to be held in the electoral district of Don Valley West on September 22, 2008, is deemed to have been superseded and withdrawn under subsection 31(3) of the Parliament of Canada Act, therefore cancelling the said by-election.
