Notice is hereby given, pursuant to subsection 525(2) of the Bank Act, that Barclays Bank PLC, a foreign bank with its head office in London, England, intends to apply to the Minister of Finance for an order permitting it to establish a foreign bank branch in Canada to carry on the business of banking. The branch will carry on business in Canada under the name Barclays Bank PLC, Canada Branch, and its principal office will be located in Toronto, Ontario.
