Under section 9 of the said Act, Sostratus Engineering Ltd., on behalf of The Corporation of the Municipality of Shuniah, has deposited with the Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities and in the Land Registry Office for the Registry Division of Thunder Bay, at 189 Red River Road, Thunder Bay, Ontario, under deposit No. TBR 440031, a description of the site and plans for the removal of the existing timber truss bridge and replacement with a steel arch box culvert over the North Branch of the Current River, at Compressor Station Road, from Copenhagen Road to Highway 527, in part of Concession A and of Concession B, Section 17, municipality of Shuniah, township of Macgregor, district of Thunder Bay, province of Ontario.

Comments may be directed to the Superintendent, Navigable Waters Protection Program, Transport Canada, 100 Front Street S, Sarnia, Ontario N7T 2M4. However, comments will be considered only if they are in writing, are received not later than 30 days after the date of publication of this notice and are related to the effects of this work on marine navigation. ASSUMPTION REINSURANCE AGREEMENT

Notice is hereby given that, in accordance with sections 254 and 587.1 of the Insurance Companies Act (Canada), Swiss Re Life & Health Canada (“SRLHC”) and Swiss Reinsurance Company Ltd (“SRZ”) intend to make an application to the Minister of Finance (Canada) on or after October 27, 2009, for the Minister’s approval for SRZ to reinsure on an assumption basis, all of the life, annuity, and accident and sickness risks undertaken by SRLHC (the “risks”), including all present and future obligations under such risks, with an effective date of January 1, 2010.

A copy of the assumption reinsurance agreement and the independent actuary report relating to this transaction will be available for inspection during regular business hours at the Canadian head office of SRLHC and SRZ, both located at 150 King Street W, Suite 1000, Toronto, Ontario M5H 1J9, for a 30-day period after the date of publication of this notice.
