Brantville Aquaculture Ltée hereby gives notice that an application has been made to the Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities under the Navigable Waters Protection Act for approval of the plans and site of the work described herein. Under section 9 of the said Act, Brantville Aquaculture Ltée has deposited with the Minister of Transport, Infrastructure and Communities and in the office of the District Registrar of the Land Registry District of Northumberland, at Miramichi, New Brunswick, under deposit No. 28062819, a description of the site and plans for aquaculture site MS-1217 in Tabusintac Bay, near Brantville.

Comments regarding the effect of this work on marine navigation may be directed to the Manager, Navigable Waters Protection Program, Transport Canada, P.O. Box 1013, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia B2Y 4K2. However, comments will be considered only if they are in writing and are received not later than 30 days after the date of publication of this notice. MD LIFE INSURANCE COMPANY

ASSUMPTION REINSURANCE AGREEMENT

Notice is hereby given, pursuant to subsection 254(2) of the Insurance Companies Act (Canada), that MD Life Insurance Company (“MD Life”) intends to make an application to the Minister of Finance, on or after January 26, 2010, for approval of the reinsurance by Industrial Alliance Insurance and Financial Services Inc. (“Industrial Alliance”), on an assumption basis, of all the universal life insurance policies issued or assumed by MD Life, as more particularly described in the assumption reinsurance agreement to be entered into between MD Life and Industrial Alliance (the “Agreement”).

A copy of the Agreement together with a copy of the report prepared by an independent actuary on the proposed transaction (the “Report”) will be available during regular business hours for inspection by the policyholders at the head office of MD Life, located at 1870 Alta Vista Drive, Ottawa, Ontario K1G 6R7, for a 30-day period after the date of publication of this notice.

Any policyholder who wishes to obtain a copy of the Agreement or the Report may do so in writing to the Chief Executive Officer, MD Life Insurance Company, at the above-noted address.
