AL SALAM HOUSE-CANADA INC.

APPLICATION TO ESTABLISH A BANK

Notice is hereby given, pursuant to subsection 25(2) of the Bank Act (Canada), that Al Salam House-Canada Inc. (the “Applicant”), a corporation incorporated under the Canada Business CorporationsAct with its head office in Calgary, Alberta, intends to apply to the Minister of Finance for letters patent incorporating a bank to carry on the business of banking. The Applicant is currently wholly-owned by Mr. Yousif Al-Bassam, a resident of Calgary, Alberta.

The proposed shareholders of the Applicant that will have a direct or indirect significant interest in the bank are Mr. Hussein Al Meeza, a resident of Dubai, The United Arab Emirates, SDQ Trading Est., headquartered in Bahrain, and controlled by AbdulRahman Al-Bassam, a resident of Bahrain, and The Yousif Al-Bassam Family Trust, an Alberta trust controlled by Mr. Yousif Al-Bassam.

The promoters of the application are Mr. Yousif Al-Bassam and Mr. Al Meeza.

The bank will carry on business in Canada under the name Al Salam Bank Canada in English and Banque Al Salam Canada in French and its head office will be located in Mississauga, Ontario.

Any person who objects to the proposed incorporation may submit an objection in writing to the Office of the Superintendant of Financial Institutions, 255 Albert Street, Ottawa, Ontario K1A 0H2, on or before October 18, 2010. The application will be made on or after September 18, 2010.

Notice is hereby given, pursuant to subsection 25(2) of the Bank Act, that the Bank of India, a foreign bank with its head office in Mumbai, India, intends to apply to the Minister of Finance (Canada) for letters patent to incorporate a bank in Canada to carry on the business of banking. The bank will carry on business in Canada under the name Bank of India (Canada) in English and Banque de l’Inde (Canada) in French, and its principal office will be located in Toronto, Ontario.
