On April 1, 2011, the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission Rules of Practice and Procedure came into force. As indicated in Part 1 of these Rules, some broadcasting applications are posted directly on the Commission's Web site, www.crtc.gc.ca, under “Part 1 Applications.”

To be up to date on all ongoing proceedings, it is important to regularly consult “Today's Releases” on the Commission's Web site, which includes daily updates to notices of consultation that have been published and ongoing proceedings, as well as a link to Part 1 applications.

The following documents are abridged versions of the Commission's original documents. The original documents contain a more detailed outline of the applications, including the locations and addresses where the complete files for the proceeding may be examined. These documents are posted on the Commission's Web site and may also be examined at the Commission's offices and public examination rooms. FARM PRODUCTS COUNCIL OF CANADA

FARM PRODUCTS AGENCIES ACT

Notice of public hearings as part of an inquiry into the merits of establishing a Canadian pork promotion and research agency

The Farm Products Council of Canada (FPCC) has received from the Canadian Pork Council a proposal to establish a Canadian pork promotion and research agency, to be funded by levies applied on hogs marketed domestically as well as on imported pork and pork products.

The Council, pursuant to section 8 of the Farm Products Agencies Act (the Act), hereby provides notice that, pursuant to the direction of the Chairman, a panel, consisting of two members of the FPCC, will hold public hearings to determine the merits of establishing such an agency, pursuant to section 39 of the Act.

The Panel has determined the place and time of the pre-hearing conference (notice below). The panelists are Mr. Mike Pickard, as Panel Chair, and Ms. Maryse Dubé.

The Panel will submit the results of its inquiry to the Council members, and the FPCC will make recommendations to the Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food.

Copies of the Proposal for the Creation of a Canadian Pork Promotion and Research Agency, the General Rules of Procedure and other related documents are available from the FPCC Web site at http://fpcc-cpac.gc.ca/index.php/en-GB/publichearingsetc/applications-received. Any interested person or association wishing to comment or intervene on the issues involved in these hearings may do so by completing the electronic form on the FPCC Web site, or by mailing or delivering by hand a submission to the Hearing Secretary, Ms. Nathalie Vanasse, at one of the above-mentioned addresses.

In order to be considered, all submissions must be received by the FPCC on or before close of business on October 30, 2015.

Note that all information provided as part of these public hearings, except information designated as confidential and accepted as confidential by the Panel, whether sent by postal mail, fax, email or through the FPCC Web site, becomes part of a publicly accessible file and will be posted on the FPCC Web site. This information includes personal information, such as full name, email address, postal/street address, telephone and fax numbers, and any other personal information provided.

Documents received electronically or otherwise will be posted on the FPCC Web site in the official language in which they are received.

Notice of pre-hearing teleconference

The Panel hereby provides notice that, pursuant to section 30 of its General Rules of Procedure, a pre-hearing teleconference will be held on November 5, 2015, at 1 p.m. (Eastern time), in Ottawa, to confirm the dates and locations for the hearings, and address any procedural matters. Parties wishing to participate in this teleconference should notify the Hearing Secretary by no later than 8 p.m. (Eastern Time) on October 23, 2015. Further communication regarding the teleconference and agenda will be emailed and will be available on the FPCC Web site shortly.

PUBLIC SERVICE EMPLOYMENT ACT

Permission and leave granted (Mulligan, Sean Joseph)

The Public Service Commission of Canada, pursuant to section 116 of the Public Service Employment Act, hereby gives notice that it has granted permission, pursuant to subsection 114(4) of the said Act, to Sean Joseph Mulligan, Passport Clerk (CR-3), Service Canada, Department of Employment and Social Development, Gatineau, Quebec, to allow him to seek nomination as a candidate during the election period for the electoral district of Hull—Aylmer, Quebec, in the federal election to be held on October 19, 2015.

The Public Service Commission of Canada, pursuant to subsection 114(5) of the said Act, has also granted a leave of absence without pay during the election period, effective at close of business on the first day the employee is a candidate during the election period.
