Notice is hereby given, in accordance with subsection 39.1(2) of the Bank Act (Canada), that the Continental Bank of Canada intends to apply to the Minister of Finance, on or after July 8, 2019, for approval to apply under the Canada Business Corporations Act for a certificate of continuance.

CONTINUANCE UNDER THE CANADA BUSINESS CORPORATIONS ACT AND DISCONTINUANCE UNDER THE BANK ACT

In accordance with paragraph 39(2)(a) of the Bank Act (Canada), notice is hereby given of the intention of Zag Bank (the “Bank”), having its head office at 120–6807 Railway Street, Calgary, Alberta, to apply to the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (Canada) for approval to discontinue as a bank and continue as a corporation under the Canada Business Corporations Act (Canada) pursuant to subsection 39.1(1) of the Bank Act.

Note: The publication of this notice should not be construed as evidence that approval will be issued for the discontinuance. The granting of the approval will be dependent upon the normal Bank Act (Canada) review process and the discretion of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions.
