FEDERAL ACCOUNTABILITY ACT
Order Fixing May 5, 2008 as the Date of the Coming into Force of Certain Sections of the Act
P.C. 2008-830 May 1, 2008
Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Public Works and Government Services, pursuant to subsection 314(1) of the Federal Accountability Act, Chapter 9 of the Statutes of Canada 2006, hereby fixes May 5, 2008 as the day on which sections 306 and 307 of the Act come into force.
EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Order.)
The Order fixes May 5, 2008 as the day on which sections 306 and 307 of the Federal Accountability Act come into force. These provisions amend the Department of Public Works and Government Services Act to provide for the appointment and mandate of a Procurement Ombudsman.
