Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, considering that the debt is unreasonable, on the recommendation of the Minister of the Environment and the Treasury Board, pursuant to subsection 23(2.1) (see footnote a) of the Financial Administration Act (see footnote b), hereby makes the annexed Cape Jourimain Nature Centre Remission Order.
CAPE JOURIMAIN NATURE CENTRE REMISSION ORDER
1. Remission is granted to the Cape Jourimain Nature Centre Inc. of the amount of $42,973 which represents rental fees accrued by the Cape Jourimain Nature Centre Inc. between 2000 and 2007 under a lease executed on March 16, 2000 between the Cape Jourimain Nature Centre Inc. and Her Majesty the Queen in right of Canada as represented by the Minister of the Environment.
EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Order.)
The Order provides for the remission of a debt owed to Her Majesty in right of Canada by the Cape Jourimain Nature Centre Inc., which operates an environmental interpretation and education facility located on the Cape Jourimain National Wildlife Area in New Brunswick.
