PUBLIC SERVICE EMPLOYMENT ACT

Order Designating the Indian Residential Schools Truth and Reconciliation Commission as a Department and the Chairperson as the Deputy Head for Purposes of the Act

Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, pursuant to paragraph (b) of the definition “department” and paragraph (b) of the definition “deputy head” in subsection 2(1) of the Public Service Employment Act (see footnote a) hereby

(a) repeals Order in Council P.C. 2008-799 of April 25, 2008 (see footnote b), effective July 1, 2009;

(b) designates the Indian Residential Schools Truth and Reconciliation Commission as a department for the purposes of that Act, effective July 1, 2009;

(c) designates the Chairperson of the Indian Residential Schools Truth and Reconciliation Commission as the deputy head of that Commission for the purposes of that Act, effective July 1, 2009; and

(d) repeals paragraphs (b) and (c), effective July 1, 2014.
