PUBLIC SERVICE REARRANGEMENT AND TRANSFER OF DUTIES ACT

Order Transferring from the Department of Indian Affairs and Northern Development to the Canadian Northern Economic Development Agency the Control and Supervision of the Northern Economic Development Branch

Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, hereby

(a) pursuant to paragraph 2(a) (see footnote a) of the Public Service Rearrangement and Transfer of Duties Act (see footnote b), transfers from the Department of Indian Affairs and Northern Development to the Canadian Northern Economic Development Agency the control and supervision of the portion of the federal public administration in the Department of Indian Affairs and Northern Development known as the Northern Economic Development Branch; and

(b) orders that the Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development shall preside over the Canadian Northern Economic Development Agency,

effective August 18, 2009.
