PUBLIC SERVICE EMPLOYMENT ACT

Order Designating the Canadian Northern Economic Development Agency as a Department and the President as Deputy Head for Purposes of the Act

P.C. 2009-1427 August 14, 2009

Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, hereby

(a) pursuant to paragraph (b) of the definition “department” in subsection 2(1) of the Public Service Employment Act (see footnote a), designates the Canadian Northern Economic Development Agency as a department for the purposes of that Act; and

(b) pursuant to paragraph (b) of the definition “deputy head” in subsection 2(1) of the Public Service Employment Act (see footnote b), designates the President of the Canadian Northern Economic Development Agency as the deputy head of that Agency for the purposes of that Act,

effective August 18, 2009.
