Certain Women’s Enterprise Centres Remission Order

Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, considering that the collection of the debt is unreasonable, on the recommendation of the Minister of Western Economic Diversification and the Treasury Board, pursuant to subsection 23(2.1) (see footnote a) of the Financial Administration Act (see footnote b), hereby makes the annexed Certain Women’s Enterprise Centres Remission Order.

CERTAIN WOMEN’S ENTERPRISE CENTRES REMISSION ORDER

1. Remission is granted to the women’s enterprise centres set out in column 1 of the schedule of the amounts set out in column 2, which are amounts owing to Her Majesty by certain women’s enterprise centres under the terms and conditions of the Women’s Enterprise Initiative Loan Program established by the Department of Western Economic Diversification.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order.)

The Order provides for the remission to the women’s enterprise centres of Manitoba and Saskatchewan of the amounts due to Her Majesty, created by failure to apply clause 4(iii) of the terms and conditions of the contribution agreement related to the Women’s Enterprise Initiative, as the collection is deemed unreasonable.
