Euro Grading & Haulage Inc., Remission Order

Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, considering that the collection of the tax is unjust, on the recommendation of the Minister of National Revenue, pursuant to subsection 23(2) (see footnote a) of the Financial Administration Act (see footnote b), hereby remits to Euro Grading & Haulage Inc. the amount of $18,243.00, plus related penalties and interest, in respect of an assessment issued under Part IX of the Excise Tax Act (see footnote c) for the period beginning on September 1, 2000 and ending on August 31, 2003.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order.)

The Order remits $18,243.00 to Euro Grading & Haulage Inc. goods and services tax, plus related penalties and interest. This amount represents the tax assessed under Part IX of the Excise Tax Act for the period beginning on September 1, 2000 and ending on August 31, 2003 when no tax was collectible.
