APPLICATION TO ESTABLISH A CANADIAN BRANCH

Notice is hereby given that Arch Reinsurance Company, an entity incorporated and formed under the laws of Nebraska, United States of America, intends to file with the Superintendent of Financial Institutions, on or after August 20, 2013, an application under section 574 of the Insurance Companies Act (Canada) for an order approving the insuring in Canada risks, allowing it to conduct in Canada property and casualty reinsurance business, under the English name Arch Reinsurance Company and the French name Compagnie de réassurance Arch. In particular, Arch Reinsurance Company intends to provide in Canada treaty and facultative reinsurance of commercial and personal property and casualty coverage, including all risks property insurance, commercial and personal general liability insurance, management liability insurance, professional liability insurance, marine and aviation insurance, automobile insurance, accident and sickness insurance, crop and hail insurance, fidelity insurance, environmental liability insurance, surety insurance, political risk and credit insurance, credit protection insurance, legal expenses insurance, boiler and machinery insurance, and energy insurance. The head office of Arch Reinsurance Company is located in Morristown, New Jersey, and its Canadian chief agency will be located in Toronto, Ontario.

Pursuant to section 651 of Insurance Companies Act (Canada) [the “Act”], notice is hereby given that Fidelity National Title Insurance Company intends to apply to the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (Canada) on October 2, 2013, for an order authorizing the release of the assets that it maintains in Canada in accordance with the Act.

TRANSAMERICA LIFE CANADA

ASSUMPTION REINSURANCE AGREEMENT

Notice is hereby given, pursuant to subsection 254(2.01) of the Insurance Companies Act (Canada), that Transamerica Life Canada (“Transamerica”) intends to make application to the Superintendent of Financial Institutions for the Superintendent’s approval to enter into an assumption reinsurance agreement (the “agreement”) with Humania Assurance Inc. (“Humania”) and LS Mutual Management, on or before September 30, 2013, under which Transamerica shall cede to Humania, and Humania shall reinsure, on an assumption basis, the liabilities and obligations under certain individual disability insurance policies issued by Transamerica, which include some participating policies.

A copy of the agreement and the independent actuary’s report relating to this agreement will be available for inspection by policyholders of Transamerica during regular business hours at the offices of the Transamerica Life Canada, located at 5000 Yonge Street, Toronto, Ontario M2N 7J8, for a period of 30 days following publication of this notice. Any policyholder of Transamerica is entitled to a copy of the agreement and the report of the independent actuary in respect of this agreement on submitting a written request to Glenn Daniels, Senior Vice-President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary, Transamerica Life Canada, 5000 Yonge Street, Toronto, Ontario M2N 7J8, or by email to glenn.daniels@transamerica.ca.
