CERTIFICATE OF CONTINUANCE

Notice is hereby given, in accordance with the provisions of subsection 39(3) of the Insurance Companies Act (Canada), that Canadian Direct Insurance Incorporated (“CDI”) intends to make an application to the Minister of Finance (Canada) on or after March 18, 2019, for approval to apply under the Canada Business Corporations Act for a certificate of continuance under that Act.

CDI intends to change its name to Canadian Direct Inc. as part of its application for a certificate of continuance as a corporation under the Canada Business Corporations Act.

Any person who objects to CDI’s discontinuance under the Insurance Companies Act (Canada) may submit the objection in writing at the address below, on or before March 17, 2019.

PLANS DEPOSITED

The Ministère des Transports du Québec [the department of transportation of Quebec] hereby gives notice that an application has been made to the Minister of Transport under the Navigation Protection Act for approval of the plans and site of the work described herein. Under paragraph 5(6)(b) of the said Act, the Ministère des Transports du Québec has deposited with the Minister of Transport and in the Land Registry Office of the Missisquoi District, at 4 Adhémar-Cusson Street, Bedford, Quebec J0J 1A0, under deposit No. 24 391 970, a description of the site and plans for the construction of a bridge over Rivière aux Brochets, in Pike River, from Lot 5 452 928 to Lot 5 452 792.

Comments regarding the effect of this work on marine navigation may be directed to the Regional Manager, Navigation Protection Program, Transport Canada, 1550 D’Estimauville Avenue, Suite 401, Québec, Quebec G1J 0C8. However, comments will be considered only if they are in writing and are received not later than 30 days after the date of publication of the last notice. Although all comments conforming to the above will be considered, no individual response will be sent.

APPLICATION TO ESTABLISH A CANADIAN BRANCH

Notice is hereby given that the Shelter Mutual Insurance Company, an entity incorporated in Missouri, United States of America, which principally carries on business in the continental United States, intends to file, under section 574 of the Insurance Companies Act (Canada), with the Superintendent of Financial Institutions, on or after March 23, 2019, an application for an order approving the insuring in Canada of risks, under the English name Shelter Mutual Insurance Company and the French name Compagnie Mutuelle d’Assurance Shelter. Shelter Mutual Insurance Company is a property and casualty insurance company and intends to insure property, casualty, automobile and crop risks in Canada, limited to reinsurance. The head office of the company is located in Missouri, United States, and its Canadian chief agency will be located in Toronto, Ontario.
