His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Health, pursuant to section 37 of the Canada Consumer Product Safety Act (see footnote a), makes the annexed Residential Detectors Regulations.

Requirements

Residential detectors

1 A residential detector set out in column 1 of the table to this section must comply with the standard set out in column 2, without regard to any other standard to which it refers.

3 The information required under these Regulations to be provided on the label of a residential detector or in instructions intended for consumers must appear in English and in French.

Repeal

4 The Residential Detectors Regulations (see footnote 1) are repealed.

Coming into Force

Registration

5 These Regulations come into force on the day on which they are registered.
